Terms of Entering
By applying for this competition you understand that only the acts with the highest scoring online applications will be selected to audition and compete within the in person competition. Open to all acts across the UK and Scotland.
The purpose of the online application stage is to find acts who are suitable for the competition. The competition judges will have the sole binding decision on if or not you are put through to the next round in all competition rounds, including selecting winner/s. Be sure to read all emails regarding the scoring system carefully. The purpose of this competition is to find then allow high ability musical acts a chance to play a music industry showcase. The competition is running nationally.
If you are selected as a winner of the online audition/application stage you will be invited to perform in person at a music venue selected by the production company. Make sure you have filled out the application form to the best of your ability as this will effect if or not your act is selected to progress.
Thirteen winners from the audition stages (including all online and in person events) will be selected to go through to the national in person final industry showcase. The prizes listed are subject to change. The official prize list which will go to the national winner can be found at: https://www.soundwavemusiccompetition.co.uk/prizes < This prize list cancels out any other prize lists and is the one official prize list for clarity.
You agree to place maximum effort into rehearsing before auditions and preparing your act to the highest possible standard allowing you to show off to new audiences and industry guests, as well as supporters of your act currently.
If you are under 18 years old you must inform your parent(s) or legal guardian(s) before entering the competition. You grant us the right to film your act and with your permission (or parent/guardians permission) publish the footage on media platforms throughout the world and entire Universe, without the need of payment to you. These T&C's may change at anytime. The competition entry date/time can be subject to change. Entry fee is non refundable.
