ABOUT THE COMPETITION
At SoundWaves Music Competition UK we live for music and were founded to give music artists who win the competition including bands, solo singers, duos and groups of all genres an unforgettable multinational platform to gain invaluable media exposure from and the opportunity to perform on some of the most iconic stages in the music industry. In a music world today where live shows are one of the biggest aspects of the industry this competition is all about finding talent.
THE PROCESS
How it works
The competition is formulated to view aspects of each potential act from all angles, so we can research the acts with the most potential. We are open to acts of all types and genres. What sets us apart from other music competition platforms is our ability to create a platform that links artists to A&R, live events, music producers and more as you progress through the competition, especially at the later stages. Each stage gets more prestigious and bigger.
Application Online
Apply online by submitting a video or music track to our A&R Department via the enter page. A&R will then select the talent which they feel is best from all submitted applicants and invite you to perform in the stage below. During this stage acts are judged solely on musical ability and performance capabilities.
The Live Audition Show
If your application for the online stage is successful you will be invited to take part in the SoundWaves Music UK Live Audition Show.
Regional Gig Quarter Finals
This is the stage where the competition really heats up, and the true fun begins. It's a big gig, with a big outcome!
The Checkpoint Stage
If you win the stage before you will get the chance to compete in the final round before the national finale. Expect to be grilled by our A&R Department.
The National Finale - Live Music Industry Show
The lucky acts that successfully finished highest in The Checkpoint Stage will get the opportunity of a lifetime to perform at the SoundWaves Music Competition National Grand Finale at one of the best music venues in the UK in a bid to win the top prizes.
